Pressure Systems treats weather as emotion, moving through ten conditions and the feelings hidden inside them. Fog becomes disorientation; drizzle holds quiet sadness and memory; heat bends attraction into obsession; and a falling barometer brings the anxiety of knowing something is coming. The record passes through emotional stalemate, stillness, numbness, and the strange coexistence of happiness and grief before a clearing west wind gives way to the acceptance and clarity of a cold blue sky.

A hazy, slow-burning album that moves between dark psychedelic weight and dreamlike calm, building toward the spacious final stretch of “The Space Between Breaths.”
